Junkie’s 2010 Week 6 Pickups

12 10 2010

Here are the five guys I think are good pickups for week six. Of course there are others but these are the five I like most.

1. Felix Jones: He looked really good against a good defense and is sure to start getting more touches after that performance. I bet he’s the one starting over Barber in two weeks.

2. Danny Amendola: He got tons of work after Clayton was sidelined with a season ending injury. BUT temper your excitement a bit, the Rams are not always going to be playing down 35 to the Lions. GO LIONS!

3. Roy Williams: I dare you Roy  to have three good games in a row. I triple dog dare you…

4. Brandon Pettigrew: I’ve said it before and I will say it again. This guy is good and the Lions have more targets to TE’s than anyone in the league. And with the news that Calvin Johnson may miss this week, Shaun Hill will rely on the two set TE’s even more. Also giving a bump in rankings for Tony Schefler.

5. Kenny Britt: As long as he gets the starting nod, he is money. Please Jeff Fisher, do not let Gage back in when he comes back healthy. Nothing against Gage, but he just doesn’t have the talent that Britt possesses.

Other noteworthy guys: Andrew Quarless TE Green Bay, Anthony Armstrong WR Redskins and Lee Evanse WR Buffalo

Let me know if I missed some obvious guy or if you totally disagree. It’s all good.

Good calls, especially on Amendola, Pettigrew and Roy. Britt, to me, is a big question mark. The Titans are a running team, and VY still has yet to prove to be a consistent passer.

Yeah, Britt definitely wont be consistent but more a flex guy. Much like Mike Sims-Walker in my opinion.

Britt is going to tear it up this weekend imo…if there’s any weekend to start him its this one.

Hey T what do you think about Foster this weekend? I’m having doubts and debating starting Mike Williams from TB in my RB/WR slot and moving Torain from RB/WR into my RB slot. Is it crazy that im thinking of sitting Foster?

Yes, you are crazy. He had one bad game. You can’t sit Foster, even Mike Hart had some nice plays against the Chiefs. MIKE HART! I expect Foster to have a bounce back game.

yeah you’re right..guess i was just over thinking it because of foster’s bad game last week and the fact that KC is ranked 3rd in rushing yards allowed..

Frog, I think this may be the last week for the video. It will be just a video redirecting them to the new blog. It’s just easier to do this way. And I get more info out quicker without having to worry about uploads. We’ll see if I keep it going. So far, the hits have gone up everyday on the blog!

Yeah they have which is great. I do like the blog, but the vids are cool too because when you make ones each week people will watch them and get exposed to your blog. Also if you plan on possibly making some $$ doing this one day then keeping up with new vids each week will increase those chances imo. People aren’t going to click on a vid that gets aged and I think that might dampen the exposure to your blog. There’s a lot of clowns out there offering advice but yours is real and you make no promises, but from I can see you’ve actually made some spot on picks and given good advice, so i say keep it up.
