Bradshaw Hurt… Get Danny (DJ) Ware

3 11 2011

For all Bradshaw and Jacobs owners, this is for you.

According to Matthew Berry’s twitter account, Ahmad Bradshaw has cracked bone in his foot and will be out indefinitely. If for some reason, Jacobs is available in your league he would obviously be the first pickup. Ware is a bit smaller but will be utilized in the passing game and possibly all third downs to spell the oft-injured Jacobs. I know Jacobs wants to believe he can be an all-round type of back but his injury history proves otherwise. Ware will be a fantasy factor in PPR leagues and maybe more.

UPDATE: Adam Schefter tweeted: Person familar with Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw’s injury texted this: “Not serious injury – should play Sunday. No surgery (needed).” – Take it for what it’s worth at this point. Giants could be just playing coy about the injury status. Wouldn’t be the first time a team kept the true status of the injury a secret.

UPDATE II: It looks like this is the type of crack he has played with in the past. So it might not be as bad as first announced. But a crack in your foot is a crack in your foot. Can’t be good for durablility. If Jacobs comes back to health, Ware may not be worth much as Bradshaw and Jacobs will split time evenly. If Bradshaw misses time, I still like Ware in deeper PPR leagues as a flex option.

No problem Tim, I hope he gets a chance to play! Make sure you keep an eye on him, Bradshaw may play with the injury, we’ll see.

I picked up Ware in two leagues!
